I have always had a stirring in my soul, something calling me to action, a need to leave my mark.

The direct motivation for An Inspired Mind arose during a time of great economic turmoil and uncertainty about life in our country. I had been working a cushy but stressful job
at a major Investment Bank for six years, steadily progressing along a career in management. I was supervising a small team of Operations employees when my husband was offered and accepted a position 1500 miles away.

The time had come to move on, but my company didn't want to see me leave. I was offered the opportunity to telecommute from my new location and remain in my current role.
Of course I jumped at what I thought would be a great opportunity - work from home, have more time to be a mother to my two children, and keep my salary! As it was, I was
not very happy for myriad reasons.

However, I did quite a bit of soul searching during that time and came upon a definitive conclusion. The opportunity in this situation was actually that it gave me time to
reflect on who I am and what drives me - PEOPLE! I love interacting with people. I love when someone brings an issue to me and asks for my help in resolving it.
I love the relationships that are born out of this type of assistance.

I realized that living an authentic life was more important to me than any paycheck, any promotion. I want mine to be a life of purpose and I want to help other people
to attain a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. To help people live life to the fullest is exhilarating! This is the divine motivation that brought about An Inspired Mind LLC,
a success-oriented, client-centered coaching experience that will help you find your own motivation, your own inspiration to live a life of authenticity.

I look at life coaching both as something requiring a certain set of acquired skills and as something that is intuitive. Coaching is a gift and one that people possessing
certain qualities can do with relative ease. I am one of those people.

In order to further hone this innate ability, I am working towards becoming a Certified Coach through a training program approved by the International Coach Federation (ICF),
a globally recognized credentialing association. I am also a member of the ICF and I hold myself to a high standard of ethics and professional conduct. I have taken numerous development courses during my corporate career, including Art of Thinking on Your Feet, Strategies for Influencing & Persuading, Management Essentials, among others.

My formal education is in the field of Anthropology and I obtained a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Anthropology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I took a number of courses that have given me special insight into human nature including numerous cultural anthropology courses, Sociology of Families, Abnormal Psychology, Self & Consciousness, Native American Religious Traditions, Buddhist Studies, and many more.

I am an artist. I am a life-long learner. Learning and my love of life are my main motivators. I am committed to making a positive impact on the world. I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with you on your quest to discover your inner strengths and put them into action to help you better your life and the world as a whole.
